Garden Party

While doing yard work this week I came upon this lovely little spot. Lots of snails. Watch out for the slugs! I guess they eat snail shells? Weird! Stay tuned to see my new garden boxes. I'm a little late on planting a garden, but I have the time off, so why not?! The soil will be nutrient rich by the time I'm ready to plant my veggies!

SF MOMA

Went to see a Ansel Adams, Georgia O'keefe exhibit this weekend. We met up with an old friend of mine from elementary school. Unfortunately, I forgot to get pics of the two of us. :(

Hiking with Lilo

My baby girl is getting old. She is going grey and has arthritis in her knees. It finally got bad enough that we put her on an anti-inflammatory. She takes this daily and has been feeling lots better. She's not quite a puppy again, but you can really tell she feels better. To celebrate we went on a little hike today. She kept up well (okay, she walked me a little) and I think getting out hiking really lifts her spirits. Here's a few photos from our day:

Just me, my dog and the open road. We picked a great place for our little hike/picnic. We'll have to do this more often.

This is Lilo sitting like a human (look at her legs) with her "can I have some more roastbeef" face. We shared a yummy sandwich and a bottle of water. Who could say no to that face?!

Lilo in action!

Nap Time!

I can't stop taking pics of this! It happens everyday, but never stops being adorable!

I need a job! Here's what my day looked liked...

Before...
After

Blackberries and raspberries make a delicious (and beautiful color) smoothie!
Needless to say, neither Lilo nor Hydro were much help in my yard work adventures today.

More Randomness

Found a good way to reuse my cup from vegas, make a huge pina colada!

I really missed going to the farmer's market on Sundays. This weekend they were lazy and decided to sale brussel sprouts still on the stalk. Lilo thought this sounded great! She loves broccoli stalks and loves brussel sprouts, so why wouldn't she love a good brussel sprout stalk?!

We had to break down and get an exterminator for the house. :( This is sort of against my principles, but Michael hasn't been happy about finding ants in our bathrooms and bedroom. The exterminator found 7 ant colonies on our property. That's a lot of ants. Forgive me, Buddha.
