It's the least you can do! With a moron running our country (or sitting back and letting other morons run it), I have little faith in the idea that my vote really makes one bit of god damned difference. That being said, if I didn't do it, I couldn't say that I at least put in the effort. I'm a registered independent in CA. I don't get to really vote in the primary (I didn't check my mail to find out that I could have requested a ballot that gave me the opportunity to vote for the democratic party in the primary). I'm not big on politics. If I had the choice, I'd stay out of it completely. Given that this is a democracy (sort of, well, it's supposed to be...), I can opt out, but it doesn't alleviate any of the guilt when something goes terribly wrong.
I'm not about to tell you who to vote for, but I will say that, no matter what the outcome, if you didn't get off your ass and vote, you're part of the problem!
Happy voting!

With so many global issues potentially affected by who gets into power, it truly is a historic election this year. Get out and vote is a great message to be sending.
By the way, "Just your average tree huggin-hippie-homegirl" - I love it!
